Erasing Bosnia
Thirty years after the Yugoslav Wars, survivors of the Bosnian Genocide, alongside photojournalists and historians, continue to battle intense genocide denial, particularly affecting Bosniak-Muslims. Despite war crime convictions of key Serb leaders by international courts, denial efforts persist, driven by nationalist rhetoric and revisionist agendas. This denial erases the truth of the genocide, impedes healing for survivors, and distorts historical memory. With the conclusion of war trials, the responsibility now falls to survivors and community members to educate the world, preserve the truth, and combat this erasure of justice.
