The Happiness Shop
This film focuses on a social enterprise in Vietnam. The Happiness Shop is more than just a retail shop in the streets of Vietnam - it’s a beacon of empowerment and inclusivity. Founded with a unique mission to provide meaningful employment opportunities for women with disabilities. Through their work crafting souvenirs from recycled materials, these remarkable individuals not only earn livelihoods but also gain a sense of purpose and independence. The Happiness Shop values fostering a community where everyone is valued and given the chance to thrive.
This film was made on a Documentary Outreach program with Actuality Abroad.
Jacob Willet (jacobwillett2002@gmail.com) served as Producer on the crew, coordinating research meetings, permissions, and all of principle photography, including a detailed schedule of production.
Hanna Rhody (hannarhody@gmail.com) served as Cinematographer on the crew, deciding on the official look of the film and operating camera for all practice filming as well as principle photography, including a detailed shot list for production.
The other two members of the crew were Brianna Avnell (Director) of Australia (UT Sydney) and Ariel Roberts (Editor) of the USA (Oberlin College).
